How “Peace Revolution” Training in Thailand Can Transform Your Life

“Peace Revolution” offers a unique study program in Thailand for those us us who are interested to learn how to teach meditation, which essentially helps us to study meditation on a deeper level ourselves! If you want to learn meditation, teach it to others! However, the training was far from an easy ride — it will challenge you on every single level to become a better version of yourself, and sometimes that process can be painful, too! In this blog post, I will share my experience and how it helped me to develop myself.

Challenging daily routine

“Peace Revolution” meditation teacher training is an intensive training that starts at 5am in the morning and ends at 21.30 in the evening. It will be difficult to attend morning sessions because you will feel very tired and sleepy! The food at the retreat is delicious and you will have freshly made traditional Thai food in the morning and launch; however, in the evening there is no food, which is quite difficult for those of us who have unstable blood sugar or adrenal issues.

Throughout the day there will be 3–4 different meditation sessions, as well as additional activities to get to know others, ask questions to monks or have leisure time. The lectures are well-structured and easy to understand; however, revisiting the study materials will help to get to deeper meaning of the materials, which can be hard to grasp with the first attempt.

We also had to do “Peace In Action” tasks each day, such as cleaning meditation hall, bathrooms or offering food to monks. These activities were specifically designed to train mindfulness.

Overall, these activities and lectures will contribute to developing discipline, resilience, mindfulness and cooperation spirit.

Transformation through relationships

You will meet a lot of new friends who will inspire you to follow your life’s path and purpose — monks, personal development coaches, meditation trainers, health practitioners, yoga instructors… all of them have an inspiring story to share with you. During the training, you will create close bonds with others, but also it will be very difficult to return back to everyday life after the training, because your friends will stay at different continents.

The shared moments of joy, team-building activities, meditation, bubbles, breakfast and lunch, and walks around the retreat territory will be very memorable and heart-warming! A lot of activities will help you to practice ‘love and kindness’, and share positive and uplifting messages with others. You will also have a chance to listen to inspiring stories from others, and realize that you are not alone suffering from health issues or difficulties in life… we all share these experiences together!

Thanks to relationships and shared moments, I realised that I had a dream that I had kept to myself for a very long time — to start my own small health and wellbeing business! I never had courage to make it reality, because I was waiting to heal myself; however, I came to realization that I do not need to wait for perfection to share my journey with others — the time is now! If I had not met people, who were living my dream already, I would not have had the courage to start making my own dream into reality! Especially, I got inspired from Johnson from Congo who had launched his own coaching and leadership school ‘Likanisi’. He helped me throughout the retreat to adjust to the new environment and feel at peace.

The program is crafted in such a way that you will have to lead a meditation session yourself, and that will give you the confidence and self-belief! Also, the program will provide you with lots of visual materials that you can afterwards use to launch your initiative into reality! We also went through BetterMe model, which is used in coaching others. Thanks to this model, I started to see how self-limiting beliefs were holding me back from making my dreams come into reality!

Therefore, I can say with confidence that I feel prepared to lead sessions and talk about meditation and its health benefits after the training!
